The tendency over the last week has been sunny moments, and then it seems quickly (for the unprepared) the sky has clouded over and rained. Dexter and Hannah have stayed in on a few days.

There is no chance that by continuing to emit CO2 into the atmosphere that the climate will flip into a new energy equilibrium making it impossible to sustain the existing and expected world population.

The rain seems to have stuck around. If I waited long enough it would rain, and then Dexter and Hannah would be stuck at home. They accept their fate stoically as dogs do, putting their trust in their human companions.

By all accounts India has successfully launched along range nuclear missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead. So India joins the select groups of countries, that includes Israel, with that capacity, while similarly not a member of IAEA, or the nuclear non-proliferation agreements.

As far as I can tell Leah Bolger has received no notice in The New York Times or The Washington Post. She is the former naval officer, who with articulate expression momentarily interrupted the hearing of the Super Committee formed to reduce social spending. She faced jail for her action.

The Israeli Government did not like Gunter Grass’s poem, “What must be said”. They were not content to brand him as persona non grata, but label him as being anti-Semite and associate him with the Nazi past and the Holocaust.
