I was walking a few kilometers every day. I thought I was going OK. Dexter and Hannah express disappointment if I do not take them out. Then I was undermined what I thought at the time would be a critical injury. I seemed to tear my knee and the muscles. I had difficulty getting out of a chair. The remedy, after going to the doctor was, simple and almost immediately effective. The application of anti-inflammatory gel worked almost immediately.

Homo Sapien Sapiens probably need now to again push the boundaries. Let’s suppose that adventure, courage and technology enabled the Polynesians to discover the far flung islands of the Pacific between 900 to 1000 CE, which might have begun with moving the campsite over the mountain into the next valley. Let’s not run down the species it learns as it goes, and as it learns it qualitatively changes.

This is a provocative suggestion. However, for governments to allow the cutting down forests, the source of oxygen,thus destroying ecosystems we cannot recreate, and particularly refusing to take effective actions on climate change the case is clear.

Good to see that Maurice Newman is holding to his position that dismisses the scientific theory of climate change caused by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere in which Carbon Dioxide gas emissions play a critical role.

Former Naval Captain John Ingram was reported by ABC News that turning refugee boats away and forcing them back to Indonesia was not the Navy’s way of doing things. He is most likely right. It seems that the Government has involved the Navy and Military in “Operation Sovereign Borders” in a way that politicizes them, and in a way that by inference ignores their advice about these operations.

In 195O, Bertrand Russell was given the Nobel Prize for Literature. He was the Nobel committee said a champion of “humanitarian ideals and freedom of thought”. His views reflect the different times at which he wrote, and he seems to be both a observer and a historian. He spent months,for example, in Russia following the victory of the Bolshevik Revolution.
