FRIDAY NIGHT DOG BLOG – SIDE BY SIDE January 30, 2010

trackback

This week we were pushing back time, so the dogs got less time on their walk, which might not have been such a bad result due to the warmer weather.

We took water, even the camera was forgotten. We thought we would begin by seeing double and then finding whether the vision improved. Sasha and Dexter seem to be enjoying the moment. What more could be asked?

John Lennon sang the Ben E King song, “Stand by Me”:

Now we have got that sorted,we can head to see whether Friday Ark at Modulator is sailing this week and whether we might join the others on board.

Dear Mr. Wmmbb,

Thanks for visiting. Sasha and Dexter seem to be content. How are you and how’s your wife? I hope you have someone else staying with you.

We are trying to do our best to keep afloat. The idea is to avoid the payment worries by cutting the costs…we feel that it might be a while before our business bounces back…and we need to keep going. Lot of businesses have gone bust – we’ve been able to sustain by cutting our costs – both on personal and office fronts.

All the best to you too.

Licks n wags,
Oorvi

Susan has now entered into the recovery phase, and I suppose that began when she left ICU. There was a bit of serendipity at that point, and as it turned out it was the observation of Indian doctor, as I understand the situation was training in intensive care medicine here, who noticed that she was raising her arms. That meant she avoided an operation. She then moved to the High Dependency Unit and now is in the Surgery Ward.

At some point, hopefully soon rather than later, she will be coming home. Then the fun starts. These things are not easy, and there is great uncertainty associated with them. i will be the carer without training, a nurse without a licence.

Like you we will have to start managing costs and keeping the mental outlook that allows positive and constructive things to found and unfold. In both cases, as you say it is necessary to take the long view.

It is nice to hear from you, and I am hoping that things will turn out well for you, even despite the robbery that were not of your doing.

Dear Mr. Wmmbb,

Glad to know that Mrs. Wmmbb is doing better.

We are fine. Oorvi manages to make a post once in a while. We’ve been spending a lot of time packing our stuff (we are moving to a new rented house today,) and dear Oorvi helps us by bringing us the cellphone whenever it rings.

We’ll be applying for a transfer of our Internet connection and if it happens in about a week, we’d be happy. That’s when Oorvi will begin to post again, because she uses our home computer.

Wishing both of you better times ahead.

Warm Regards,
Shafali

Sasha and Dexter do indeed look content. 🙂

I am very relieved to hear that your wife is in recovery phase. I am sending warm thoughts and good wishes your way. I can appreciate the stress involved in all of this. Sometimes it seems best to simply deal with what the day presents and take things one day at a time. ((hugs))

Thank you Colleen,

We have been taking her recovery day and day. In doing that I tended to lose sight of what day it was. Now we have an opportunity to consider a longer term.

I meant to comment, I particularly liked your family pictures and those of your mum (as we say) in particular. Congratulations for becoming a grandmother again.

Thanks for commenting Shafali,

I hoping that things work out for your business and, of course, for Oorvi as well.

Thank you for kind thoughts and I can only reciprocate them.
