FRIDAY NIGHT DOG BLOG – ANNUAL VET VISIT January 9, 2010

Circumstances conspired against visiting the vet in the usual way, namely hoping aboard the converted canine mobile to the destination. Therefore, an alternative scheme had to be conceived.

We decided on walking. The trip was out through the back as per our normal walk, through the park, crossing over the highway at the lights, through another park and then to the vets. All the time keeping a distant eye out for dogs and people – I trust Dexter that much, and Sasha might just have been a problem too. As it was they were both exemplary. But when they arrived, since it was hot enough, they were panting heavily, and welcomed the water that was kindly offered.

On the way back, we took things easily, and took some photos. So the result was mission accomplished and a load off my mind. And we included some photos from earlier in the week.

Sleeping Beauty was recommended by a special person to us, who has been doing much sleeping lately, and has now gone back under sedation ( I am hoping very much she will waken again):

Good to get things like vet visits behind us. Great to get a walk in at the same time.

Sleeping Beauty.. lovely. Sending hopeful thoughts your way.

It was good to get that mission accomplished. I had envisaged some possible problems, but had not taken into account how hot it would be for the dogs.

Thank you for your thoughts Colleen.

By the way if the second collage is expanded, two characteristic features of Australian suburbia can be seen on each side – the war memorial to the First World War and the (Lawn) Bowling Club.
