The new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wollongong, Professor Paul Wellings, sent out a video message to the alumni.

Clearly, the business of education, which has become a very important economic asset for a city once wholly dominated by a steel mill. Universities and university education have tangible and intangible benefits.
