FRIDAY NIGHT DOG BLOG: “ALL THAT MATTERS” August 31, 2013

I suppose that it matters that Spring has arrived, and it seems it did so some weeks ago. What matters is an interesting question.

So what matters to me? Often because I am enclosed in a world that revolves around ego. The bush overwhelms the ego, suggesting that their is a larger set of relationships and networks that we are embedded in, and should respect. For example the Sun might catch the eye, and we reflect that the earth is both revolving and following an elliptical orbit set within the immensity of space. It is apparently its tilt that makes for the passage of the seasons. This year, given last year, I am not looking forward to summer. The dry creek might be a portent.

We imagine we might know what matters to dogs such Dexter and Hannah. I suppose that getting out is important. For them too, I am guessing relationships, including perhaps human relationships matter. For the most part, and sometimes it breaks down a bit, a schedule of positive reinforcement without thinking of them as objects, but as beings in their own right.

And there is just one more thing that matters perhaps. Tony Abbott is to be the next Prime Minister and I feeling the buyer’s remorse already.

So whether the photos I took this week matter is open. I took them anyway and reduced them down to manageable number.
