David Korten suggested that the economy could do without Wall Street, if it returned to the golden age of local-based, often cooperative banking institutions. So what would happen to international trade?
The Occupy Wall Street movement, which has spread beyound New York raises broader questions.

Apparently Mayor Bloomberg received a letter from the owners of the Park saying it was dirty and required cleaning. He visited the area to announce a clean-up. Gothmist reports on this development to exclude the protesters from the park to which they have responded with a call to both clean up the park and to engage in nonviolent civil resistance.
