FRIDAY NIGHT DOG BLOG: ANDANTE March 4, 2011

The definition may not be fully accurate, but I think that andante means something like intermediate slow. I take it as analogous to patience and steadiness.

I have been advocating this attitude to Sasha and Dexter for some time now. Sometimes they get with the program. Then either one or other will want to stop completely because something or other has caught their interest. Then the other mood is engaged, allegro. The Italians who named these things that right. And all I want is harmony in that we get from here to there and back again in fluent way without too much jazz.

Somewhat shamefully I am still drawing on the past, even though the present is in some ways very different. Dexter is pretty much as he was last year. Sasha has had her problems but she has responded remarkably well to the anti-inflammatory tablets recommended by the vet to the point that she is getting on at pace beyond andante.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart sets the pace – if I replay this often enough they might get the idea:

We are keeping to the shadows, until with resolution a new camera is acquired but there is nothing to stop anybody from stepping on board Friday Ark.
