Christopher Monckton is putting in another appearance among the Antipodeans, apparently representing himself this time, not Myanmar, as he did at Doha. His arrival in on the back of triumph in New York, where allegedly he trounced an unnamed professorial proponent of Climate Change.

That seems to be the motto of some climate change contrarians. What is the critical evidence in question?  Mean surface temperature, accuracy of the climate models and climate sensitivity seem be major points of contention.

According to the published list of sponsors Exxon Mobil  does not contribute to Heartland Institute, but Microsoft does. These relationships are veiled in secrecy, as is the political clout that Exxon Mobile wields.

CARBON POLLUTION TAX November 8, 2011

The Senate passed the Carbon Price Tax by 36 to 32 votes, so that now there will be a tax on carbon dioxide pollution. After a stormy passage it is now law becoming effective on 1 July next year.
