FRIDAY NIGHT DOG BLOG: KEEP GOING HOME

So much for the end of time. Although I could be anticipating. Just because we got through the day that does not mean that Central America will. The Mayan calendar clicked over and we still have the light bill to pay. So much for the doomsayers. I notice the dog got on with the business, as Dexter and Hannah would.

Another week, another set of photographs to shifted and reduced to a minimum. Why do dogs smile? Probably as with us they are expressing their emotions. It is claimed that all life is one. And now we have forgotten our arrogance as human beings and remembered our common heritage as presented in this documentary: Why Dogs Smile and Chimpanzees Cry.

We had an injured visitor in the front yard. Just well somebody is responsive around here, this Australian King Parrot was grounded. The person from WIRES came and picked him up while Dexter and Hannah were on their walk.

It must be all the positive reinforcement, but the dogs came when I called this time.

Postscript:

I know very little about Mayan Civilization, except on the basis of the calendar alone, to have considerable respect for it. Bernard Russel, if I recall correctly, observed that foresight was the defining feature of civilization.
