INSIDE THE BANK BAILOUT October 28, 2012

Bill Moyers interview with Neil Barofsky is extraordinary. Neil Barofsky is the former Inspector General of the Bush Administration’s Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP).
He wrote Bailout. The headline quote at Raw Story is his view that another banking crisis is inevitable. What caught my attention is his account of “the bullet or the bribe”, “the lead or the gold”. Those who sought to influence him could apparently offer a judgeship. Neil Barofsky’s solution is to break em up.
Postscript:
It is relatively simple, so it seems to me, to step back and see how the dysfunction of the American political system in relation to the legislature is due to the capture by the money power, although there are design factors involved. What has intrigued me is how the judiciary could be captured. The description of events and the mentality intrinsic to their unfolding, provides insight that otherwise I would not have had.
