FIVE MINUTES May 27, 2010

There was a certain amount of excitement around these parts today. The State Emergency Services and Police evacuated some houses, the local primary school and child care centre since they were in the path of the possible flood plain.
It had been raining heavily, and there was a potential risk that the old mining dam- aka as the Duckpond – might overflow with complications downstream, such as flooding the highway. Now it seems people have been allowed to return to their houses.
ABC News has a report on the days events. I sure that been away from home with such reports about is not the best. On the other hand it is necessary to take appropriate measures.
