The statement was made in 1935. The veracity and accuracy of the claims cannot be confirmed here, but if true the testimony is interesting, and more than mildly so, since it goes to the issue of the use of American arms and Corporate profits.

While not in the least our doing we had an eventful week. We went from fire to flood. In truth it was not much of a fire, and not much of a flood, although houses were evacuated. Variety is the spice of life, or so it is said.

Various ships from mostly European countries, and importantly Turkey, will rendezvous in the Mediterranean carrying medical supplies and other provisions in an attempt to break the blockade imposed on the 1.5
million people of Gaza by Israel.

There was a certain amount of excitement around these parts today. The State Emergency Services and Police evacuated some houses, the local primary school and child care centre since they were in the path of the possible flood plain.

We are geographically closer to the southern and eastern parts of the Eurasian landmass, in which political events are occurring. Over to the east across the the Pacific there is South America, from which the Philippine islands were colonized by Europeans.
