So what are human rights good for? The standards of human decency recognized throughout the world, cannot be a bad idea without practical utility?
Here is a quick, but not complete, summary:
Andrew Norton argues that a Bill of Rights would create more problems than it solves, although he does not propose a workable solution to the problems that a Charter of Rights can address and does address in Victoria. Is he in favor of revoking the Victorian Charter of Rights? It seems odd that a classical, Bentamite, individualistic liberal.
