I am, but nobody in the auditorium when Chris “Monckton” gives his spiel seems to be laughing. Chris has a degree in Classics, so he may have learnt some rhetoric.
Various uncorrected claims are made in relation to Chris “Monckton”. His discussion about global governance and global warming is fraudulent. The problem with global governance is that nation states and corporations are attempting to continue a pattern of expropriation, violence and threatening behavior because they do not know better. Similarly the same players, in part due to cultural blindness although selfishness is a factor, are in effect condemning humanity and its only home to extinction.
Here the good lord, pontificates prior to Copenhagen – to the acclamation of the audience:
Chris is the walking, breathing spirit of the enlightenment.
ELSEWHERE:
Naomi Klein reviews last weeks’ World’s People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Hope and empowerment for the people of planet Earth (or should that now be Eaarth?) would be major development.
This meeting and its conclusions were prominently featured in the mainstream media I imagine?
